WHO ARE WE?
OK, so it’s ‘About’ time! ‘Who are we?’ is a mantra NawTee Ones have been saying their entire lives. A collective consciousness of creatives that epitomise the duality, that forms the basis of this binary existence that we call reality. It is never conforming to how anything is “supposed” to be done. We are…the NawTee Ones.
“Yeah ok, but what does that actually mean?” The moment you label something you limit it, so to be truly NawTee means unrestricted and unpredictable creativity, expressed in an infinite number of ways. You will be content with our content. You will be entertained! (See below for more info).

How many rappers do you know that speak about quantum physics and how to heal trauma?
NawTee Ones provide an alternative from the typical inner-city narratives we see in the media. More than just rappers or a musical outfit they are a collective of likeminded poets, songwriters, composers, screenwriters, playwrights, comedy writers, actors, film directors and content creators!
Their foundation is a story born in the Caribbean corners of inner-city Birmingham (UK), but the plot never ventures into typical territory but rather cinematic scenes of the struggle to master self-discipline and knowledge of self when most in the environment are doing the opposite. Freethinking NawTee people worldwide tend to have had unique childhoods, something that propelled them to search for greater meaning and understanding.
Several of the collective begun writing poetry and stories as early as 7-12 years old and over the last few years, NawTee has been distilling what they’ve learned into creative and entertaining packages to share with the clean hearted people that it speaks to.
This has crystallised through parent company IV MeDear and is spearheaded by film, plays and what would be categorised as Rap that has the versatility to address absolutely any subject matter, well-known and the obscure.
Their influences range from battle rappers with highly intelligent lyricism and eclectically stretch to the sonics of Led Zeppelin, the timeless songwriting and clean sound of 80’s pop. When you grow up in house full of records and books, it’s all in the inventory, you appreciate Jazz, Jungle or Jane Austen and how she masterfully crafts a story.

Currently Rapper and actor ’33 Flames’ has the work-in-progress “Throwaway Project”.
This indirectly nods to the current age of the devaluing of music but also has a literal meaning as they are quick mixtape type songs that will not have a polished mix. Sharing is more important than perfection, so 33 would rather “throw them away” so others can find value in them. The first “throwaway” is Time, produced by fellow NawTee One, DeFaceless Producer.
